Is it worth it updating my iPhone 4 to ios 7?
My friends either praise it or hate it and so far the interwebs has been as much help. So seriously, is it worth it? Do I loose anything? Does it just take up space? What does it even do exactly?
I hate iPhone updates.
It looks a little cooler and has a few new features and it breaks a few apps and games that haven't been updated to handle it.
As long as you don't have problems with it (most people don't), it's worth it since all it takes is time (it's free).
YES! SWEET JESUS ITS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING IN THE ENTIRE WORLD. IT HAS A BUILT IN FLASHLIGHT, CAMERA, TIMER, MUSIC, BRIGHTNESS, BLUETOOTH AND Wi-Fi SETTINGS RIGHT IN THE LOCKPAGE WITHOUT YOU EVER HAVING TO UNLIKE OR GO TO SETTINGS. TRUST ME YOU WILL ENJOY!
The good: Apple iOS 7 gets a complete design overhaul and adds useful features like automatic updates to make everyday use easier. Long-overdue Control Center gives quick access to most-used features. AirDrop and iTunes Radio are excellent additions.
The bad: Besides the massively overhauled design and Control Center, there are few ground-breaking new features. The flat design concept favors space over information so you'll generally need to do more scrolling to get the info you need. Some new features aren't available for iPhone 4 and 4S users. Also slows down the iPhone 4 slightly in some areas.
- Will updating my iPhone apps affect my phone speed as how updating the Operating System (OS) will? Currently I'm using the iPhone 5s on iOS 8.3 I know if I were to update my phone to the latest OS I may notice some slowdown on my phone's performance, since it may not have the "muscle" to handle certain functions. Many apps now are optimised for iOS 9 and/or the 6th generation phones. Will my 5s' speed performance slow down if I update my apps? Will the app's performance slow down?
- Will updating from ios 6.0.1 to ios 6.1.2 remove everything? I know that if you 'Majorly' update your iPhone it will erase everything from your iPhone like updating ios 4 to ios 6, but what if you are just updating your iPhone from ios 6.0.1 to ios 6.1.2 on the same version, is there any difference or it will also remove everything?
- Updating iOS 6.1.3 to iOS 7 Beta? And i have an iPhone 4 running on Verizon, i'm trying to get the beta for iOS 7 because it looks really cool. I'm not computer ignorant, i just can't seem to find how to do this, my iPhone is not jailbroken or unlocked. I downloaded like 10 different files for ios 7 and they all give me an error saying they are not compatible
- Is updating to ios 7 worth it? I still have ios 6 on my old iPhone 4s because I like it a lot. I haven't updated because I think that ios 7 is ugly. But lately I have been curious as to what ios 7's unique features are, and I want to know from people who actually have had both ios's. So, what things are definitely better in the new ios? What things were better in ios 6? Do you think it's worth it to update enough to deal with the ugly layout? I appreaciate everyone's opinons!
