Is my sterling silver ring real or fake?

I have the Sears app in my iphone and I bought a Sterling silver White Lab created Opal ring and it was on clearance from $149 to $14.99 but got it for $12.99. But. IT DOESN'T HAVE the (925) stamped on it anywhere! You will probably say well, "what can you expect for that price" but I don't care because it's Sears and in the description it clearly says it's a sterling silver ring so that's what it should be.

SILVER in color, and fake stone.

It probably cost less than $12 to make. I'd return it! There's NO REAL RE-SELL value for fake opal! It's JUNK. Sorry, I'm being honest.

You can find real sterling @ Goodwill for about $8, if you know how to find them, and I'm talking about a bracelet made of real silver.

Firstly, Silver is currently going for $16 per ounce. That ring is likely not an ounce in weight. Secondly, lab-grown stones are cheap as all heck. I can get a lot of 10 for $5. Thirdly, the band is 2mm wide. There's not much place for the.925 stamp to go so they might have not bothered. Four, jewelry is highly marked up in price. They are probably discounting it to and selling it for a little less than cost. Finally, there's something called a "Loss Leader".

They pull you in with a heavily discounted item then while you're there and got the nice ring that you wanted… You might look around and buy things to go with it.

" it was on clearance from $149 "

Boy they found a fool in you for believing a fake ring of that quality would ever sell for that "bargain" price. You could buy 10 for that price!
