Is my T-Mobile iPhone 4s unlocked?

I have a friend who is trying to sell a T-Mobile Iphone 4S. I'm wondering if since it is T-Mobile, if it unlocked? The Model Number is A1387.

I can't imagine why you are asking your question here instead of asking the person who is selling it.

I don't believe any of t-mobiles phones are unlock, even iPhones.

I was just wondering if the same thing would happen if it wasn't factory unlocked? So if I get it unlocked everytime it will shut off it will reset? That is what i'm worried about.
