Is resetting and restoring your iphone the same thing?
Now this may seem a little stupid, but I need to restore my iphone 4 so I can use a new sim card and I've been trying to restore for over an hour and it still says "contacting the iPhone software update server." But then I noticed that in my phone there's a reset all button.
Is this the same thing as I want to do as a restore? My phone has been backed up today.

Reset is putting back all the settings on the phone as they were when it came out the box.
Restore is erasing all content & settings on the phone as it was when it came out the box.
- What will resetting your network on your iPhone do? Will it only log you out of your Wi-Fi? Does it log you out of anything else, like apps? And does it delete anything?
- Resetting an iphone and restoring from back up? When resetting an iphone [5] and then restoring from back up, what does it restore? [photos, mail, messgaes, contacts.ect?] what do I get back?
- My mom and i got the same phone and same plan yet her internet loads all the time and mine never does? Two iPhone 7+. Same unlimited data plan. Yet literally no matter where I'm, nothing that uses data loads unless I'm connected to Wi-Fi. Yet my mom's internet loads no matter where she is. It's even happened that we're in the same place trying to load the same thing and hers loads while mine doesn't. Yes, I have my data turned on. I've made sure all my data settings are identical to my mom's. So i really don't know what could be causing this.
- Is the Iphone 3 and 3G the same thing? Trying to buy my boyfriend a gift and he said his phone was an Iphone3. Everything I look up says 3G/3GS and I just wanted to make sure they were the same thing before I bought him a case that doesn't fit
