Basically it's your choice but apple products seldom get scratches but crack from within so get a protective case for it cause cracks no scratches but remember the case is also ineffective if you're rough with it and replacement of screen is more expensive than a galaxy nexus!

Yes, in my opinion, Screen card is not necessary to use but it is good to protect phone screen from scratches. It helps to prevent scratches and dirt and cracks from screen.

- Using screen guard and back guard to protect iPhone 4s? I want to use my iphone4s without back cover which makes it bulky. Using screen protector will be sleek to use and carry. However I feel that the camera at the back side will get scratches, if the back side is guarded by a thin layer of sheet only but Please help me and suggest if this is practical and I will not harm my iphone by getting rid of rub-plastic cover.
