Is static from radio when iphone is playing sign car could be bugged?

I have an iphone I play through the car radio with a cable - the little miniplug kind. It has played perfectly for over a year, but all of a sudden lately there's a lot of static. Could this be a sign that my car or phone is bugged? How do I find out?

Static is natural. In fact, people use devices that generate large quantities of static to render bugs useless.

No. It means that your connection ports are dirty and causing poor contact or your cable is damaged.

I have tried different headphones, no headphones, a hard resart, and twice tried a software reset( once to local backup and once to factory settings). Anybody have any other ideas of what could be wrong?

  • How to plug my iphone into my car radio? I just bought a new car (well used, but new to me) and the radio doesn't have a usb port so I can't plug my phone into it to listen to my music. My dad said there's something that goes into the tape slot that I can plug it into. Does anyone know what the thing is or where I can buy one?
