Yes, I believe it is. And if Apple thinks anyone is about to use it they will sue them. It seems like they're latest business plan lately.
Yea, Apple patents everything, so they can sue anybody that makes something that is remotely similar. Like what they did to Samsung for making a "rectangular shaped phone."
