Is the iPhone 5 worth it (bill wise)?

I just can't see myself shelling out so much money every month for that bill. I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 with Boost Mobile and I love it. It is my first smartphone lol weird because I'm 21 lol. Anyways all of my friends have iPhones literally all of them and I get so tempted to go get one but they complain to me all the time about their bills being too high. One of my friends says her bill is $180 a month I told her that would cover me for three months with a little change leftover. What should I do? I want one but that bill is just outrageous. I know I can get one without a contract but Apple is so freaking crazy when it comes to iphones (I'm a computer geek and I do my research) they will glorify a new product like it is the second coming of christ and then put it off to the side when releasing a newer product with very very very minor tweaks here and there look at the release of the iPad 3 and 4 literally a few months apart thats why I'm so hesitant on buying things from them. I do not know what to do. Its just like every time they release something new its an urge to go buy it.

No i would say stay with your galaxy because your happy with it and yes i regret buying the iphone 5 with sprint i pay 140 and well that could be even 4 months with another phone and another carrier. But it your decision

You will be making a bad choice solely based on the trend of what your friends have. Why even pay a high bill when your paying less makes no sense the iPhone can do just the same as the Samsung s2 plus everybody don't get iPhones it's just a trend people follow and could financially screw you to be paying that much for a simple phone trust me I wouldn't. But if you really want to get a iPhone I suggest buying one straight up from Virgin Mobile they sell iPhones and you will still be paying low monthly cost!
