Is the iPhone 5S home button the same size as the iPhone 5?

Is the home button on the iPhone 5s the same size as the one on the iPhone 5?

I'm wondering if I need to get screen protectors specially made for the iPhone 5s or if ones for the iPhone 5 will work without covering the button.

I'm also wondering the same thing, and hopefully someone else can give a better answer than me, but, here goes nothing. I went to the Apple store yesterday, and had both phones side-by-side. I opened a web page on both devices that was an article of text, and I compared how many letters wide each button was, using the very bottom line of text, closest to the home button. They looked the exact same to me, although I would rather have had a way to measure how many millimeters they were exactly. The second piece of evidence I have though is that if you go look at the Spigen SGP website (a manufacturer of iphone cases and screen protectors), they now have their screen protectors labeled as being for "iPhone 5s / iPhone 5" leading me to believe that they are indeed the same size home buttons, or else they would not be able to advertise their screen protectors this way, they would have to make new ones. Needless to say, I'm going to go ahead and order myself a screen protector and trust that it will work without overlapping the Touch ID sensor ring!
