Is the iPhone 5s unlocked if bought from Verizon?
I was told that any iPhone 5 phone bought from Verizon was unlocked? Is this true? Also, if it's true, does that include phones bought with a plan from Verizon? I'm looking to buy an iPhone 5s off of eBay to use with Straight Talk and I need to know any helpful info so I don't waste my money for a phone that won't work.
No and no. The only helpful advice that works is you'll have to buy a 5s from Straight Talk or an unlocked 5s from Applestore. Yeah, full price so figure $650. You buy a phone from a carrier, it's locked to them, and you will not get out of that store alive unless you ink a deal. Bottom line, anybody selling you a 5s that doesn't match those two qualifications (unlocked and expensive) is a liar, and is ripping you off in a scam. Try to find a better way. 5s prices will be coming down in next 60-90 days. Best luck.

- I bought an unlocked Iphone 4s from ebay and its stuck on an SIM not valid screen? The Iphone should be unlocked. Phone won't even take me to the main menu and i can't even use it as an Ipod.
