Is the iPhone 6 worth waiting for?

I'm planning to buy a new smartphone, and I really like LG G3, do you think I should get that? Or wait for the new iPhone 6? If there's another phone you recommend please let me know and why?

It all depends. I'm an iOS user and I do agree sometimes, they break easier than androids and LGs. I also use Google Glass so I'm also a big Google supporter as well as Apple, so I don't think one company is better than the other. But iPhones are easier to use and navigate. If you're looking for simplicity, then the iPhone 6 is definitely the best way to go. They also have the higher screen quality with retina display, a faster A7 chip, and a 64 bit processor so it would be faster.
But if you want more out of your phone (more durability, better camera, ability download files, etc) than android or LG is definitely the best way to go.

They make a new one every year, get a different phone. All the iPhone 6 will be is a half a inch bigger and a tiny bit lighter.

IPhone 6

No it is not, Apple is the worst brand of mobile phones ever. They crack and break easily, if you drop it off your bed, it's shatters into a thousand pieces. It's battery is irreplaceable and unimaginably sh*tty. And it's probably going to cost $700+. Do you really want to buy a piece of sh*t like that?
Get a Nokia or something.

Honestly it depends on your personal needs, along with the urgency (or lack thereof) for your phone upgrade.

The iPhone 6 is rumored to have good specs all around and the confirmed sapphire composite display looks very promising (mkbhd made a video on this). Continuing with that trend is probably a great camera (as shown in the past) and the snappy iOS experience. If you like iOS and/or are already bought into the ecosystem it's definitely worth the wait until around late September (probably).

However with the abundance of Android offerings a lot of them are extremely high-end (due to competition between companies), and offer top of the line specs (and in most great cameras as well), great build quality (htc one m8 comes to mind; not saying the iPhone is lacking however), and lastly a very customizable OS. With the Android run-time being available as well as the large overhaul of Android L looming in the distant, it's a prime time to get a high-end android device if you want a phone NOW.

And to refute a previous answer-er. The iphone 6 does not have a better display. "Retina" is just high enough pixel density for the eye to not be able to distinguish each individual one apart from a certain distance. It's resolution is in fact lower than most android flagships on the market (1920x1080p). The rumored specs show a 960 x 1704p display on the iphone 6. The lg g3 in OP's post has an even higher resolution at 1440 x 2560 pixels. Am I saying that this many pixels is necessary? No. However just wanted to make sure the OP knew that while the iphone display IS nice, most android phones do have better screens (and you get the option of amoled, super-amoled, ips, etc).

And finally the a7 chip (the iphone 6 chip is rumored to be the a8) while does benchmark better is not going to have much noticeable improvements over per say a snapdragon 801 or 805 chip (in android phones). Both are blazing fast and have shown basically no difference in day to day use- so choose whatever phone has better features or the OS you want.

Its only a few weeks away so yes.

According to me, Apple is the best brand. You should wait for iPhone6. IPhone6 will launch with new features and specification. IPhone6 will include round edges like iPad air and iPad touch which is new in all iPhones.

  • MY Iphone 4s apps are stuck in waiting? For the past 4 days I've had 3 apps stuck in "waiting", 2 are new and 1 is an upgrade. I've tried everything, even resetting all settings and nothing works. I hold down on the apps and I don't even get the option of deleting them to re-download them. Any ideas?
  • Is waiting for the gold iPhone 5s worth it? So last Saturday, Oct. 5th, I went to a corporate T-Mobile and upgraded to a 32gb iPhone 5s. They told me that I'd just have to wait two weeks for it. I said that I could wait for two weeks, but now I'm seeing that some people who ordered their gold in September haven't gotten theirs yet and that I would now have to wait until November to get it. Anyone know when it's really going to ship? If you guys ordered one, did you get it yet?
  • Is the Iphone worth waiting for and buying when it comes out? I have an iphone 4 still, it works but looks dead. Its got crack all over the front and back and pieces of glass fall every now and then, but still works fine. I've been waiting for the 6 to come out but wondering if its worth buying or should i buy another phone? If so, any recommendations?
