Is the iPhone really all that?

I'm in high school, and literally just about everyone has an iPhone. I even know people who got rid of high end android phones like the Samsung Galaxy S3 and traded it for an iPhone. I know i'm weird but I prefer android over iOS. Is the iPhone (4s or 5, it doesn't matter) really all that great as to where literally everyone at my school has one, or is it just the cool factor that makes us high schoolers get one?

The only cool thing about an iphone might be Siri and that's basically it. A lot of people have the iphone because they see that their friends have it, but most of the time it's just like any other touchscreen phone with a built in camera.

My daughter was an iPhone4 user and upgraded to the Galaxy 3. She had it for 3 days and hated it.brought it back and got the iPhone 5. She was happy to pay the $35 restocking fee

If you like android then stick to android, i just bought Htc One and i love it, before that one i had an iPhone 4S, they are both great, the only thing i miss is app store, iphone has better games.

I feel like people get it to show off.
I have GS3 and i have no problems with it.
people probably like the iphone physical appearance more than androids.

I have one and its amazing, i'm 14 and use it everyday i would swap any phone for it, i had 3 blackberrys and a samsung galaxy before it and when i got rid of them i thought why did i even bother with any other phone i'm set for life with an iphone, they do everything, apps, social media, music, texting, calling, iWork-keynote(powerpoint) pages(word) and numbers(excel) for homework while out.plus they are really fast

The iPhone became popular because it was associated with the "Apple" brand which is known for making high-end and expensive computers. If you think that you may be interested in an iPhone, but want to compare it to another phone (maybe a galaxy or an htc) you can go to www.phonearena.com and compare them side by side. There are also countless comparison videos online. I personally had the same thoughts that you did- I wanted a galaxy note 2, but doubted my choice because the iPhone is so popular. I did my research and found that, for me, the note 2 was actually better. Keep an open mind!

As a matter of fact, except for the well know "Apple" brand that will make you a seemingly rich people. The great iOS and its duration and its reliable quality, user-friendly interface, and powerful function and so on are also the matters that attract people's favor. Honestly speaking, we must admit the iPhone is the best phone in the world.
