Is the pixel 2 that bad?

I have been using an iphone 4, and have been wanting to upgrade phone for awhile…

i see many reviewers and comments bashing the new google pixel 2. Is all the hate on the pixel 2 just grounded on the fact that it has a few extra mm of bezel?

i have read that google's phone offers the best android experience and is very reliable. I also like its size, as i do not want a larger phone like th pixel 2 xl.

it is kind of hard to pull the trigger on the pixel 2 when everyone is saying it is garbage. I do not want to get a phone only to regret purchasing it.

can anyone offer me some guidance?

Everyone who is saying that it's garbage, also doesn't own a Google Pixel 2 nor have they likely ever owned the first device. If the Google Pixel 1 was anything to go by, then it will be a wonderful device. Those who actually have tried it, love it!

It has the same IP67 water resistance as the iPhone 8. It has the highest rated camera ever tested on a smartphone according to "Dxomark" which scientifically tests cell phone cameras, as well as pro and consumer cameras.

The Google Pixel 2 will also see a guaranteed 3 years of Android updates, as soon as the newest version of Android releases. You won't have to sit around and wait for updates like you will with any other Android phone like a Galaxy, or LG V30, or HTC device etc…

The Google Pixel 2 also will work seamlessly in the Google ecosystem and with all Google made devices.

And i'm telling you, it will be good! Why? Because Google knows software drives hardware. Not the other way around. Software is everything and the Google Pixel 2 is a clean, smooth, nice experience. It's ridiculously fast and polished.

It even has stereo front firing speakers! The only real negative is that it doesn't have a headphone jack. So you have to use a dongle like the iPhone does if you wish to use a pair of conventional headphones. On the plus side though, the Google Pixel 2 fully features "Bluetooth 5" which is the all new Bluetooth standard that just came out and supports better sounding audio codecs once devises come out to support the new standard.

Is the phone the most beautiful out there? No. But it's not bad looking at all.
