Is the voice memo's app on the iphone a reliable utility to record yourself singing?

Singing is one of my passions and I record myself singing a lot. And i sound Ok i guess, but i just want to know is this exactly how i sound? Cause i have heard before that iphone recordings aren't 100% accurate in terms of determining how your singing voice sounds. And in my opinion, the sound is very distorted and not the best quality i guess (I have the iphone 4 btw if that makes any difference). So i just wanna know, is it reliable? And if not, what app can i download, (preferably free) or some recording thing i can buy lol i don't know something that will make me see what my voice exactly sounds like or something really close to exact.

No the voice recorder in any cellphone is only going to be as good as the mic it is equipped with, which btw is as cheap of a mic as you can get. It will give you an idea of what you sound like but it will only be an idea, the only way to really hear your voice would bet to get better recording equipment.
