Is the website 'sendmyiphone.com' a scam or legit site?

I got a text message from a local number that said 'You were chosen to test the iPhone 6 and keep it before its released. Enter your info at www.sendmyiphone.com to get it now. Just curious if it's a legit claim or a scam. Would be really cool to test/keep a new phone but don't want to get involved in scams and thieves. Sounds kinda fishy to me. Just getting a second opinion is all.

Does this website also happen to ask you about your blood type and the number of kidneys you currently have?

It's scam, ignore it.

Ahah that's 100% a scam - Apple wouldn't let anyone test their products before release, as they're firstly still designing it secondly it leads to a high risk if being leaked. Ignore it and any other thing like it.

Apple NEVER allows anyone but Apple employees to test their products. Due to confidentiality issues, NOBODY who is not an Apple employee who has signed a confidentiality agreement is ever allowed to test any Apple products before they are released. Apple has over 78, 000 employees worldwide, many of whom are computer engineers with Masters or PhDs who would test any Apple products

This is absolutely NOT legit - delete that message

The website they send you to is owned by a company that sells weight loss products http://whois.domaintools.com/sendmyiphone.com
It is NOT at all associated with Apple. My guess is that they get you to sign up by luring you with the promise of an iPhone but by entering your details you are actually signing up to a weight loss system you'll have to pay for

Yeah random people always get free stuff, just ask anyone in nigeria.

Definitely a scam. Apple of all companies would never send out prototypes of the iPhone to consumers & then let you keep them on top of that.

It's not just fishy. It's a scam! Just like what the authorities always remind everybody, "if it's too good to be true, it probably is."

What you should do is report the text message and post the sender's phone number at http://www.callercenter.com to raise a warning.
