Is there a difference between backing up your iphone on icloud and itunes?

I reset my phone and couldn't find the backup on iTunes however I found it on iCloud, is there any difference between the backup?

Yes, if you back up your iPhone on icloud, the back-up is on the internet. If you back up your iPhone on iTunes, your back-up is on your computers harddrive.

Depends on when each backup was done. That would be the difference.

If you back it up on iTunes then the data will be stored on your harddrive so you will only be able to restore the data when the iPhone is connected to your computer; if you damage your harddrive or don't have access to it then you won't be able to restore your iphone.iCloud is cloud based so your data is stored on apples servers so you can access the data anywhere from any device as long as you have a internet connection. Its better to do it on iCloud

The difference is when you back up your iPhone with iCloud you will just get your information (Contacts, Calendars, Safari Data, etc backed up but not your apps or your settings)

If you back up via iTunes you will get an entire back up of your iPhone (All of your apps, settings, etc) It will be like you get an exact copy of your iPhone (Everything will be the exact way that you have it down to the the wallpaper and lock screen)

To find your back up on iTunes:
1) Plug your iPhone into your computer
2) Launch iTunes
3) Right click on your iPhone under the Devices cateogry
4) Click on Back Up

THEN
1) Right click on your iPhone in the Devices category
2) Click Restore from Back Up
3)Select the iPhone back up you want to restore from

  • Will there be a huge difference between the Iphone 4s and Iphone 5? I'm just wondering what you guys think… Because i don't think there will be a massive one. I currently have an iphone 4s and think well what else can they really do apart from make the screen wider and overall a thinner model. It's already quick enough and the camera is awesome. Also the same ios is going to be available for the iphone 4s and 5 so they'll just the same almost! I know they may have some new feature or two but really have they reached the max yet?
  • Why is there a huge price difference between 8gb iPhone and 16 and 32? About 6 months ago(so maybe my information is dated) I got a IPhone 4 8 gb with the one dollar upgrade with ATT. I was wondering why I could get 8gb for a dollar and if I remember right the 16 and 32 were several hundred dollars. Why is this when you can get a micro SD 32 Gb card for 20$?
  • What is the difference between updating your iphone on iTunes or in your iphone? So I'm trying to update my iPhone 4S and I don't have enough storage so I've heard that you can update it on iTunes. What I don't get is what difference does it make downloading it from iTunes or from your iphone directly
  • Is there really that big of a difference between the iPhone 4S and iPhone 5? It doesn't seem like it is. Is it really worth paying more for the iPhone 5 rather than the iPhone 4S? What's the differences between them? I mean, is it even worth upgrading from iPhone 4S to iPhone 5?
