You could use a switched receptacle http://amzn.to/...to/1JGLzLk, it is rated for 10 amps, which is only 1200 watts, I can'y find any rated for 1500 watts (12.5 amps). You would need to select a lower heat setting or a smaller 1200 watt heater.
