Is there a way of checking if an iPhone has been connected to our household Wi-Fi?

As in connected right now? The router should show which devices are currently connected.

As in "has ever been" on your router? That would really depend on the router you have. Some do collect log files that would show all the device connects /disconnects. It would show them by MAC address most likely.

Every wireless router comes with a CD to enable router settings on the host computer. In one of the options, there's a feature which can detect connections mapping to the Wi-Fi. In that if you can identify any suspicious gadget connected your laptop, then your suspicion is true.

If you had set your router to start logging before the incident, yes. You look at the part showing what MAC addresses have connected. The MAC address identifies the individual device, and part of it identifies the manufacturer (Apple), So you list all the Apple devices, and go through eliminating the ones that can't be involved in whatever happened (your own, for instance).

This site gets you from MAC address to manufacturer http://www.coffer.com/mac_find/. Note that Apple has several codes - you'll need to find out which code is used for iPhones.

Easy fix, even if it has, which depending on your router it may or may not have records, if you've just got cable type Wi-Fi probably not, but change the password and add some of these!@#$%^& they'll never guess it
