Is there a way that I can reset an iPhone, without needing to use the phone? Details below?

So I got a new iPhone because the screen in my old one was cracked. After a while the screen in my old phone wouldn t turn up or show anything. Nothing is wrong with the phone except the screen. The problem is that I can't see anything and I want to sell the phone. And I would like to take out all my information and reset it but I'm not able to, unless I fix the screen which I'm not looking to do.

Connect the iPhone to the computer via the USB cable and open iTunes. Deselect each category IE: in Apps, click "remove" on every app that has that button available. In Music, where it has a check box saying sync music, deselect it. Do the same for all categories and then sync. It will basically strip all of the add ins you've done.

It won't erase your name and the registration info. That is done by resetting to factory specs, which requires an operational screen. You have two choices. 1. Unlock it on iCloud, or through the phone store and let the buyer worry about resetting everything when he/she repairs the screen, or 2. Replace the screen and then do a factory reset that will erase all personal data.

Unfortunately, even taking it to an Apple tech won't help. There's no way to bypass the screen and use an external screen instead. (like you could do with a computer if a monitor dies, by simply plugging in a different monitor) iPhones have no external monitor connection ports.
