Is there a way to stop Presidential Alerts from reaching my iPhone?
I turned off "Emergency Alerts" and "Amber Alerts" on my iPhone about a month ago.
I disconnected the SXM antenna so that my car stopped getting those damn alerts on my infotainment system.
My iPhone received two "Presidential Alerts" today.
Added (1). Yes, I know "Presidential Alerts" are not the same as "Weather" and "Amber" alerts.
You can mute your phone. Otherwise, you can't turn it off. It's controlled by FEMA for natural disaster alerts, though the President does have his own option as well.
You must be reminded of how annoying the president is.
Today was merely a test to ensure that the danger alert system works and it is unlikely you will receive others, or if so they will either simply be further tests or alerts to people of imminent dangers in their area.
- Why are alerts not happening for calendar events in my iPhone. Alert is set for Time of event - yet there are never happening? Why are alerts not happening for calendar events in my iPhone. Alert is set for "Time of event" - yet there are never happening?
- Why battery percentage stopped reaching to 100 percent in iphone? Though i don't feel any drainage problem, but lets say when it reaches to 99 percent it won't increases to 100 percent but if i off/on phone it shows 100 percent and "plug" sign means its fully charged remove charger
- My iPhone 5s battery isn't reaching it's full potential? So I just got an iPhone 5s on Monday. It came about 60% charged. I used it until it died then charged it to 100%. Ever since then my iPhone has had an alright battery life. It's neither horrible or great battery life. It lasts a bit. There's not a significant drain either. Does it take a few days for the battery to fully calibrate?
- Is there anyway to see on the alerts on your iPhone from that day? I saw an alert on my iPhone 5 and I would like to see it again, is there anyway my phone keeps the history of alerts from today? Like all of my notifications.
