Is there an iPhone cable that allows you to change songs using the radio?

It's very dangerous to have your phone hooked up to the radio through an auxiliary cord and change the songs playing by messing with your phone and driving at the same time. It's very easily to get distracted. I was thinking of just purchasing a car mount that my phone can sit in and then my eyes would still be directed towards the road instead of down in my lap or somewhere. But I think a car mount can be distracting as well.
Is there a cable or something that you can use to play songs through the radio and also change the songs using the buttons on the radio instead of changing them on the phone?

No. The radio can't control your phone. If your radio can do bluetooth, it can cut out (mute the radio) while you're on the phone or play the conversation over the car speakers for hands free operation. If your phone can use voice commands, you may be able to switch and control what is playing through that interface, but not through the radio. The phone would first have to allow a remote to control it, whcih you can't do through a computer, or a radio. Radios don't usually have 'remote control' to other external devices. The aux interface is only for line-in operation, where the other device controls the content.

If your radio is advanced enough for that it would a usb cable but even if it has a usb port in your car's stereo system it still is may not be able to do it.
In my wife's new car I think I can advance to the next podcast stored on my phone.
In my car the usb port can't read the content of my android phone.

So maybe if your car stereo is very advanced and is compatible with your phone
