Is there any hope for my iPhone?
I dropped my iPhone in a toilet yesterday. I grabbed it out right away, and the screen was still on. It was very very dim, and it wasn't recognizing my touch. My friend somehow finally got it to turn off and i put it in a bag of rice. It was in the bag from about 8pm to 9am the next day. I just decided to take it out and try to turn it on. When the phone didn't power on, i figured it was dead. So i plugged it into the wall to see if it would turn on that way. It didn't.nothing happened at all. So i put it back in the rice. Is there any hope that if i keep it in the bag longer, it'll turn on? Or is there anything else i can do to fix it?
That has happened to me before and sense you put it in rice then it might be good but it all depends on how long it was in there and if you tryed to turn off the phone or tryed to make it work then there's a chance it won't work but from you putting it in the rice and leaving it i would think you got 50/50 chance its ether dead or good i hope this helped a little and btw if you hold the power button and keep doing that it may turn on thats what my iphone did but i'm not sure
I have a Nokia & Samsung I have owed a HTC, and a Sony Ericsson
NONE of them know what the inside of a bathroom / let alone toilet looks like
That is the good news
Anything I drop in the toilet it is intentional, there will be no appeals, no last minute reprieves.
So far yours is the funniest "I dropped my phone in the toilet!" I may have seen so far.
But before that "Voice mail" / hygiene whatever, or have you NOT heard of JOSEPH LISTER
If you take your phone into the toilet and you have NOT accidentally eaten it (because there's a limit to re-cycling) you get to write lines like this
"… It was very very dim, and it wasn't recognizing my touch. My friend somehow finally got it to turn off and i put it in a bag of rice."?
So for those still confused you are either on the phone, or you are on the toilet never both!
oops butter fingers
- Why isn't Mandy Moores album 'Wild hope' available on iTunes? I really want to download it and I can't buy it and have it delivered because I don't have a computer to sync to my iPhone, I just want I download it from iTunes on my phone. I love this album and really want to download it!
- Water damaged IPhone 4s. Is there hope? Today I idiotically fell into a pool with my iPhone in my pocket. It was submerged for about three seconds and afterward there was no display but it would still vibrate at messages and calls. I shook the water out of it immediately but I couldn't get it in rice for about 20 mins. I took out thr sim card and managed to turn off my phone and I'll let it sit in the rice for 24-48 hours. Is this just a lost cause or is there actually hope in me reviving my "child"
- My iPhone SE went for a swim with me - Any hope? So right now I'm in Outer Banks (beautiful area, my family rented a house with a pool and a short walk to the beach) and I went for a 5ish minute swim in the pool. Then my mom called me in to have lunch, and that s when I realized I f ed up. My family is big, so I had a bunch of suggestions being thrown at me at once, a bunch of them being the bag or rice. We don't have rice at the house, and nobody s gone food shopping yet. Is my phone a lost cause? Any advice would be a great help.
