Is there any way I can turn on my Iphone 5 without activating it?

I ordered my Iphone 5 online and it it already came in the mail. I have had it for about a week but i'm not allowed to activate it until my siblings order their smartphone. If I activate it, I will automatically begin being charged for the data plan so is there any way i can play around with it or use it as an ipod until then? I have verizon and i know their iphones are sold unlocked if that makes a difference.

Added (1). Also, when i ordered it online, I already signed up for a data plan but they will not begin charging until I activate it.

Call Verizon and tell them what you want them to do and they can delay the activation or swap you back to your old equipment for now and then activate the iphone when it is time.

  • My iPhone 5s has been dead for over a year is there any way to turn it back on? I've tried pressing all the buttons down for a couple seconds and the hairdryer trick, but they didn't work. I want to use my iPhone 5s for storing pictures and music because I'm already running out of space on my iPhone 6s. I don't want to spend money going to the Apple Store to get it fixed. Is there anything I can do to turn it back on? Nothing comes up it's just a black screen.
  • My iphone 4's lock button is broken. Is there any other possible way to turn it on? Its not my current phone, but I need to download music & pictures off it but its off and the button is totally unusable. I tried to talk to the Apple store but I can't get the serial number off the phone (due to the fact that its OFF ) so they were unhelpful.
  • Is there any way possible i can get pokemon yellow or any other unzipped file on my iphone I had it on a laptop a couple years back. I was just wondering if i could have my favorite childhood games on my iphone without viruses or having to hassle with online shopping.
  • Is there any way I can see on my iPhone if there's a GPS tracker? My parents split up but they still share the same verizon account. My mom and I were pretty suspicious that my father has been reading our texts through the account and driving by our apartment complex. Last night I went to my friends to feed their cat and as I was walking out I caught him driving by with absolutely no excuse to be there. I feel like I'm being followed wherever I go now, so is there any way I can check that he has a tracker on my phone?
