Is there anyways that you can remove iphone 5 scratches without replacing the screen?

I have a black iPhone 5 and recently I dropped it which left behind some unwanted scratches, I heard that you can go to apple and get a brand new one:/ I'd like to get rid of the scratches because it makes my phone look cheap and tacky any ideas!

Apple will not give you a replacement because it happens because of your own fault. They will only give a replacement when you buy an iPhone and then suddenly after you open the box you see that the iPhone was chipped.buy a casing for it since there are loads of iPhone casings out there for you to choose.whether you want a cheaper one or an expensive one it is up to you. My phone also have chipped at the side because i suddenly dropped it. After that i buy a casing for it and problem solved.

Before you start, you should know that polishing a scratch out will also remove any coatings on the screen, such as an oleophobic coating, which lets you fingers move smoothly across the surface. To create an even finish, you may wish to polish the entire front of the screen to remove all the coating.

These tips will not work if your screen is cracked or has very deep scratches. Any scratch that you can clearly feel with a fingernail are probably beyond being polished out. We also take no responsibility for any damage you cause.

To begin with you'll need a suitable polish. We're dealing with glass screens only (check your phone's specs to make sure it doesn't have a plastic screen), so you need a tough polish. We recommend cerium oxide, which comes as a powder that you need to mix with water, although you can buy 100ml of pre-mixed compound for £11 from eBay. You'll also need a couple of lint-free cloths.

This really depends on how deep the scratches are but if they are pretty light you may be able to use toothpaste… Not to much though just a light application and use your finger and rub over the scratches for a good say 3-5 minutes once you have done this use a cloth to wipe off the residue.
There should be a marked improvement but if you are still not happy with the result you can try doing the same thing a few times over.
It should eventually give you a result you will be happy with, I have done this on a few devices and have completely removed scratches that are not to deep.

  • White Screen of Death on My IPhone 3GS After Replacing Screen? I recently replaced the cracked screen of my IPhone 3GS. After reassembling it, I got the White Screen of Death. I've tried holding the power button and the home button to try to reboot, but it does not work. The phone seems to still be working normally other than the screen. In fact, it is currently playing music. Does anyone have and suggestions on how to fix this?
  • Is there any spray to remove micro scratches on an iPhone 4s? I know there's a special coating on the iphone. I have small sand scratches. I can't feel them with my nail or finger. I there anything I can rub into it so it can remove the scratches? Something that is made for it? It's driving me nuts!
