Is there major rainbow effect on Lifeproof Fre or Otterbox Defender for iPhone 5?
I just want one of these cases and I just wanted to know if there's a major rainbow effect with either of these cases. Is rainbow effect permanent or can it be removed?
Yes, they both do cause it… And it depends on how long you leave the case on…
The problem with both cases are, once you get the on, you can't get them off without damaging the case OR the phone… So it's not like you can take the case off constantly to avoid the rainbow effect, most people break both type of cases the FIRST time they try and take it off!
I suggest not going with either case, they're both awful, they even have been known to block signal, and they're bulky, terrible idea for a phone that needs to be put in so many other devices to show off it's multiple uses!
I suggest just getting a simple Silicon/Rubber case… They're shock absorbent, stylish, cheap and above all, functional! I found a lot of them right here, even got some of them for myself.

- Which iPhone 5 LifeProof case should I get? Nüüd or Frē? I'm about to trade in my old iPhone 3gs and 3 to get an iPhone 5 from AT&T, and I was wondering whether the nüüd or the frē was better? I'm more of an suburban and rural user, with rare urban use. Which would be better? I need waterproof, which comes on both, but I'm not a frequent phone dropper. I just want to know, which would be better? With the Frē, I notice that there's no screen protecter, and I was wondering if that was a downfall to that.
- Rainbow effect on tempered glass? So I got the tempered glass thing for my iPhone that is supposed to be shatter proof and they even said there will be no rainbow effect but guess what. It has the rainbow effect right smack in the middle of my screen and I freaking cracked! And they won't fix it unless I pay $20 and i'm not about to pay them for their own mistake after paying $50 for I and they installed I for me. Does anyone know how to fix this rainbow effect?
- Otterbox (Defender) or Lifeproof? I need a knew case for my Iphone 4 and I currently have an Otterbox Defender Case and I really like it. But I'm not sure which case/brand is better. I heard Lifeproof cases are awesome, but they are alittle more expensive than the otterboxes. Which should I get and why? What are the pros and cons of the Lifeproof cases and Otterbox cases?
- Lifeproof iPhone 5 case rainbow effect? So whenever I put my Lifeproof case on my iPhone 5, the screen is covered with little oily marks. This is called the "rainbow effect" or "newton rings". They're barely noticeable but very annoying. I've heard this problem is very common with Lifeproof cases and Otterboxes, so I'm assuming there's a solution to the problem… How can I make these marks go away?
