Is this normal? 15 and sleeping with iphone?

So I gave up all my stuffed animals at age 10 and ever since then, iPods and my iPhone were the "replacement". I still get afraid of the dark, thinking about all the horror movies I've seen In my life time, but I still get stiff as a board and cradle my iPhone until I no longer think about it. I do get scared without my iPhone and when I'm in the dark without music it's terrible, music really distracts me from those thoughts. So anyway, is this normal? And no I'm not a child, I'm very mature.

I don't know ahhaaha

We all have fears although we might not admit them. It's probably not something to worry about. I went through the exact same phase as you and I overcomed it.

Having an inanimate object to make you feel safe is sort-of normal. Might make you feel that if anything happens then you are able to contact someone from the phone, you have all your contacts in the phone. Not sure about cradling it, I wouldn't do that

A lot of people are afraid of the dark, so its normal to have something that makes you feel safer close to you while sleeping.

  • Will sleeping with my iPhone 5 in airplane mode harm me? I just got a brand new iPhone 5 3 days ago. Before I used to sleep with my Nokia x6 under my pillow in offline mode. Is airplane mode the same and will it damage me or harm me in any way even if its in airplane mode and under my pillow. I usually sleep with my phone under my pillow because I use it as an alarm and because I like to listen to soothing music before I sleep.
  • Sleeping with an iPhone under my pillow? I have heard that sleeping with a phone underneath your pillow can cause brain cancer because of the radiation. I have done this for 2 years and I'm a bit worried because younger people are more vulnerable and I'm still under 18. Will this have caused much damage? If I stop now will everything be ok?
