Is verizon 15/5 fios enough for me? See usage inside?
Right now, I'm on comcast blast (50/10) but it seems to hiccup throughout the day. I used to have comcast performance (25/5), which ironically didn't have that problem. But I've heard that verizon fios (which is available in my area) is better and am considering switching to them. In particular, I'm wondering what package I should get if I were to switch to verizon fios.
My roommate and I have the following devices that use the internet (I keep my laptop on the cable sometimes, but everything else is on Wi-Fi):
2 PC laptops
2 iPhones
1 iPad
1 Roku streaming device for TV
1 samsung smart tv
At any given time, ~2 of these devices will be actively used, but the others are either off, or in the case of my phone, on but not being used.
I know the company websites give suggestions, but I think they tend to overestimate what is needed (verizon rep told me 15/5 was only enough for 1 computer and only for checking emails, not enough for streaming from youtube at all, which I don't quite believe).
Advice would be appreciated!
It'd be able to handle the two Laptops and iPhones. That's it. Your bandwidth will get eaten up so quick with all those others.
I would go for something like 25/5
- Under settings on my iPhone, does the data usage include Wi-Fi usage? Because its stating a ridiculous amount and I've had my data off… And my Wi-Fi on. Does the total of data include the amount of Internet I'm using when on Wi-Fi? I'm so confused
- Secured Wi-Fi usage and what they can see? I work for a 911 dispatch center in a small county and access their secure Wi-Fi with a password. I have an iPhone 4S and was wondering what all they can see as far as what sights I visit on safari and if they can see what downloaded apps I access that I have downloaded from the App Store.
- Is 500mb of internet enough for the iPhone 4S and my level of usage? Am thinking of applying for a contract iPhone 4S, and my monthly allowance of mobile data will be 500mb, and I was wondering if the way I use data on my phone would be enough. I will mainly use it for: - iMessage - Snapchat/WhatsApp - Web-page browsing - Twitter - Facebook (occasionally)
- IPhone: settings cell usage vs AT&T's data usage number? AT&T has a number, by calling it will send you a text message telling you how much usage you have used on your data. But also in the iPhone there's a cellular usage count in the settings app which also tells how much data you have used. Both of my cellular usage counts are different. Which is right?
