ITunes says iPhone update will take four hours?
I'm running on a mac desktop, with iTunes 11.0.1. I'm currently running on ios 6.1, iphone 4, with jailbreak, wanting to restore and update the phone. So i started this process about a half hour ago, and since then it has told me so update the phone, it will be four hours, and not even a megabyte of data has changed, it just stood like that.
Are you connected to the internet via Wi-Fi? If not, go ahead and unplug the phone from the computer.iTunes will give you an error. What is on your screen now? Try plugging it back in and starting the restore again. If that doesn't work, unplug it and power it down. Then, press and hold the home button. Plug it back in while holding the home button. The screen should come on and iTunes should give you a popup about detecting an iPhone in recovery mode. If this doesn't work, unplug it. Press and hold the button on the top right and the home button until the phone restarts. When you see the Apple logo come up, let go of the top right button, but continue to hold the home button until you see a USB and iTunes logo on your phone screen, When that happens, plug into iTunes, follow the prompts, and restore. If it still does not work, go to support.apple.com, then to contact us.

If you are using Wi-Fi, get a snack and watch a movie or something. 6.1.3 is a big update and it takes a long time. You're in for the long haul! It should take like 30 minutes to an hour. Maybe less. Maybe more depending on your internet speed. Wi-Fi will take hours.
- My itunes is 11.0.5 but it says I need to update to 11.0.5? I'm trying to get Ios 7 on my Iphone 5 and it says when I plug it in and click update, "You need to update your Itunes to 11.0.5 to update your phone to Ios 7. But when I go to preferences and about Itunes it says current version 11.0.5, when i click update Itunes it says there's no update, WHY?
- My Iphone four crashed mid update and now won't restart? I downloaded the latest update, and in the middle of it, my phone shuts off. Now, whenever I turn it on it just says plug into itunes, and I can't do anything else. It says I need to restore to original factory settings and lose all my data, which I Really don't want to do. Does anyone know if there's a way to solve this so I don't have to lose all my data? Yes I have apples site and they only have one thread about it for the recent crash and it is unanswered.
- My iphone 4s has been resetting for four hours? I wanted to reset my iphone because it was jailbroken but I didn't want it to be anymore. Its not hooked up to my computer, I did it from the settings… Its been on a black screen with the loading sign in the middle of it for almost five hours now… Please help! How much longer should it take? Or should it even take this long? If I'm suppose to be waiting this long, how much longer should I wait? If not, what should I do?
- Just got a iphone and it says give it 3 hours to activate. Does this sound right? Right now it says NO SERVICE. I appreciate any help as this is my first iphone. Also, I did not receive a manual on how to set up the phone such as contacts?
