ITunes won't recognize my iPhone 5?

I got a new iphone yesterday because my other one broke and the usb lead was working fine and i even plugged it into the computer and it worked fine

but today i tried plugging it into the computer again and my phone won't even charge. Let alone itunes recognizing it, it's So annoying.

i have updated itunes to the latest version and i have also updated to ios7

what can i do?

Ok… Let me guess you have actually updated the ios7 then the issue happened you didn't actually update after the problem that's the first and most probably matter if so you will find your issue listed in one of the below links which represent all reported ios7 and workable solutions and workarounds

  • Will iTunes recognize my iPhone 5 from a iPhone 4 adapter? I want to know if that iPhone 4 to iPhone 5 adapter will work when I go to plug it into my computer to put songs only phone?

My brother recently got a new iPhone so he signed into his iTunes and ever since nothing happens when I plug my phone in besides charge it, same for my brother. Is it because he signed in or also because I just updated iTunes? I've tried restarting both my iPhone and laptop.
