Just saw 2 JU-52 aircraft flying in formation - did you think it was possible?

I was south of Zurich, Switzerland at 1045 hours on 4 July 2013 when I heard an old familiar, but now rare aircraft sound in the sky. The sound of multiple reciprocating aircraft engines. Looked up and saw TWO JU-52 cargo aircraft beating away across the sky. OMG! SIX recips banging away. Didn't have time to get camera (forgot iPhone in pocket) or binoculars, but the tri-engine layout is a giveaway.

According to these articles there are FOUR flying examples based north-east of Zurich. I've seen a single JU-52 flying before, sometimes in formation with a DC-3/C-47/Dakota. So I guess it's possible. Were YOU aware it was possible?

I've read in local newspapers that the company that owns the JU-52's at Duebendorf airport runs an air tour service.

Did not know there were two available to fly together… That is nice. I often get to see a couple of B25s or DC3/47s together but not Junkers.

I have often wondered if flying a "Junker" is anything like driving an old "junker" car:-) ? Sorry, couldn't resist the pun.

I know one of the pilots who flies the JU-52 at Duebendorf, and yes it is very likely that you saw two in formation. It is rare, but happens occasionally.

We've considered Velcroe/Tape so far but are not sure. Any recommendations/help would be appreciated thanks.
