Keyboard clicks, lock sounds, ringer etc.not working but iPod is? (iPhone 4s)?

I've had my iPhone for about 6 months and the buttons on the left hand side have stopped working, the keyboard clicks, lock sounds, ringer, alerts and app sounds don't work through the speaker but music will play through the speaker. All of my sound setting are turned on but still no sound? Vibrate works but sound would be pretty helpful.

Flip the sound switch till the red part isn't showing

Make sure that the sound switch on the side of the phone is on completely. Move the switch back and forth several times. IF the problem persists, completely shut down and then reboot the phone. IF none of these solutions help you, bring your phone the the apple store (even if you did not buy it here) They will look at the phone and should issue a report if they can't fix the problem. You can try this or just go to you cell provider and have them look at it. The provider should replace your phone as long as it was purchased within the last year. VOTE THIS ANSWER AS "BEST ANSWER!"

  • Why is the ringer sound on my iPhone not working? My ringer sounds are suddenly not working on my iPhone 4S. All of the other sounds are working fine, but the keyboard clicks, lock sound, and notification sounds are not working. I notice that when I try to turn up the volume of the ringer, I get a blank screen like the attached photo. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Thank you!
  • Why is my keyboard not making sounds on my iPhone? So my keyboard won't make those clicky noises, and my phone won't make that noise when I lock it. I have the setting turned on so that it will and i have the silent switch where no orange is showing. I know about the button to turn the sounds on i have that turned on
