Laptop won't pick up my home wi-fi anymore

My laptop (Sony) used to pick up the wi-fi in my apartment fine and a few days ago it just stopped. It says it's connected with "limited connectivity" but the Internet still doesn't work when I try to open a webpage. It picks up wi-fi in other places just fine, but just won't work in my apartment. My roommates' laptops have no problem connecting, and neither does my iPhone.
(it is set to automatically pick up IP address).

The easiest way to get it back would be to restore you laptop back to a time that the connection was working.other than that if you are using windows 7 there's a feature that will try and fix the connection problem.right click on the connection icon next to the clock bottom right of your screen the click troubleshoot problems.hopefully this will help.let me know.tc and good luck

You may want to diagnose the connection and see if windows can detect the problem. Based on my personal experience, it may be a TCP/IP issue. To fix it go to:

1) Open a Windows Explorer (e.g. My computer)
2) Type "Network Connections" on the bar where it says "my computer", "Control Panel", "etc."
3) Double click "Wireless Network Connection"
4) Click Properties
5) Click properties for IPv4
6) Usually it should be set to obtain the IP address and DNS servers automatically.

  • Why won't my computer or itunes pick up my itouch? I've had this problem for a while. Before, my computer had no problem picking up my itouch or my iphone. Just today, after I got my computer back from sending it in, it finally picked up my phone. But for some reason, it still won't pick up my itouch.
