Left iPhone in cold car for 2 hours (10 F weather) and brought it inside my warm house, is there a risk of condensation damage?

Added (1). Brought it in my house about an hour ago and just turned it off now, I'm assuming it's too late to prevent anything?

Depends if there was moisture in your care like condensation on the windshield etc if not you should be ok

No.

IPhones has limited paths for liquids to get into the phone (mostly the SIM card tray, Lightning port & possibly the headphone jack if you have an older iPhone)… So it's fairly rare to get liquid damage.

With most electronics that's been extreme cold (typically below designed operating temperatures) for prolong periods of time (like hours in a cold car. You're typically OK if it's only been a few minutes), you should keep the device off for 1 hour to allow the device to naturally "warm up" to the internal room temperature (which is ideally above the dew point) before turning on to avoid minimize water damage from condensation.

  • Why does my Iphone lose battery in cold weather? I have an Iphone 5 and i usually keep it charging, but when it's like on 70% and i'm outside in 15-40 degree weather, all of a sudden it says that I only have 20% left, than about 1 minute later it says I have 10% left and than 20 seconds later, it dies. This has happened around 5 times and my question is why does my phone do this? And how can I fix it so it doesn't happen anymore?
  • What weather app reads weather alerts to you? I was in the dentist today and this ladies phone went off and said "A tornado watch has been issued for your area" Her phone was in her back pocket. I want to know what app this is so I can download it. She had an IPhone. I was going to ask what it was but before I got a chance they called her in the back.
  • Using iPhone 5c in cold weather? I went outside for about an hour and had my iPhone 5c in my pocket, it was about 20°f outside. Can these cold temperatures damage my phone if it was with me in my pocket for an hour?
  • Is there anything I can get to boost my iPhone 4S signal inside my house? When I'm outside, my signal usually sits around 3 bars, but once I go into my apartment, I almost immediately loose my signal. Are there any products that I can get to increase my signal in my apartment? Any ideas would help.
