Looking for car radio.what do I need to get?
Fiance' has a 2008 Chevy Trailblazer SS and it doesn't have a MP3 port in it, so I can't play my music from my Iphone in his vehicle. I want to get him a radio that can do this. He has an alarm on his vehicle, is this going to present a problem? What kind of radio should I go with? If I buy from a certain company (like Stereo Designs) will they put it in for us? Sorry for all the questions and thanks for your help. Any other info you can give me would be awesome!
You will need a stereo with the features you want, a mounting kit and wiring kit for a 2008 trailblazer (sometimes sold together, sometimes separately). All are easy to find. Most name brands stereos, such as Pioneer, Sony, etc. Will match the sound quality of your fiance's trailblazer radio. I do not think the alarm has anything special to do with the radio.
Dash Kit: Metra: 99-2003
Harness: GMOS-04 for bose systems. GMOS-01 if not(neither of these are cheap but are needed)
Steering Wheel Control Interface: ASWC Interface(only if you have them)
Antenna Adaptor: 40-GM10
Just those parts would be around 147.97 with out tax and no radio.
Radio: Any radio with Aux or USB. Bluetooth is if you want(hands free phone calls and bluetooth music to radio with no wires).
Follow all directions in manuals.
- What are those things that let you play music through the radio in your car? I got my sisters old car and it's older so it doesn't have a way for an iPhone to connect to it. She used to have this thing that you could put into the cigarette lighter (or the little power thing) and you could connect your iPhone to it and the songs would play over the radio but it broke so I want to buy a new one and I don't know what they're called.
- Plugging iPhone into car radio? I drive a 2002 impala and I went out and bought a cassette tale with the cord coming out the end with the headphone jack on it but the cassette tape was too big… How else can I play my music in the car?
- How to plug my iphone into my car radio? I just bought a new car (well used, but new to me) and the radio doesn't have a usb port so I can't plug my phone into it to listen to my music. My dad said there's something that goes into the tape slot that I can plug it into. Does anyone know what the thing is or where I can buy one?
- How to play iPhone music through my car radio with the LifeProof case? I have my iPhone 4 in a LifeProof case. My car does not have an AUX input so I used to play music with the Griffin iTrip FM Transmitter. The transmitter no longer fits into my iPhone charging port because of the LifeProof case design. Is there another FM transmitter on the market that fits the iPhone 4 with a LifeProof case? Or is there another way for me to play my iPhone music through my car radio without having to make a million CDs?
