Moving countries with iPhone?

So my cousin lives in Canada but she's planning to come here for a year or more. She has an iPhone and wants to find a way to transfer it to the us Without buying another phone. Is that possible? Any links for details would be great.

Usually.

She needs to be sure that she pays off her cell phone in Canada (if she is leasing it from a provider) and ensures she gets the provider to unlock it. She'll then need to return the SIM card in the iPhone.

When she gets to the US, she'll need to visit a provider, play for a plan, and get a new SIM card. She'll obviously end up with a new phone number. Email will depend on who her email provider is.

  • Will my Iphone 5 work in other countries? I've got an iphone 5 and my family and I are thinking of going to America for a holiday. I want to use my phone there aswell. Do i have to unlock or get a new sim from America? I'm not quite sure what to do.
  • Will iphone 5 from other countries work in india? IPhone bought in other countries such as UK, USA or any other countries work in India. It may be the unlocked version. What date might it be released?
  • Will an unlocked iphone work in all the countries in the world? Usually when people list 'unlocked' on an iPhone site they mean unlocked for United States countries. If I buy an unlocked iPhone abroad in Europe (or from a European person selling through amazon or ebay), will it still work in the United States on a local carrier?
  • Using an IPhone when moving to different countries? If I brought an iPhone say from apple out right for 529 in the UK and then moved to Australia could I use the same iPhone on their service providers? Can then could I move to the US can change service providers again without changing the phone I bought in the UK?
