Moving to UK for a better opportunity?
The question is simple, yet sort of complicated. Last year i was arrested on charges of selling stolen merchandise over the internet but not convicted. It turned out to be a class 2 felony, needless to say my life has been very close to hell going from one dead end low profile job to the next. The only support i get is from my mother and my girlfriend who has been with me even before this happened. Also note that i can't exponge my felony due to a misdemeanor charge i had in the past. The only support i get is from my mother both financially and emotionally and my girlfriend who is also willing to migrate to a different country. The only problem here is i do not have ANY relatives in the UK at all and i also don't have a couple thousand bucks to spare. What i do have is the strong desire to start a new life, clean slate and actually be somebody, not viewed as a criminal for selling an iphone on craigslist. What is your opinion on this?
So let see YOU made a mistake well really a few mistakes and YOU think that moving across the pond will change your life and take your girl friend with you but have no problem leaving YOUR mother who you openly say supports both financially and emotionally, in fact you state these two are your only support do you know many have no support what so ever, you state you have little money and I would assume little education and you think the U K would welcome you with open arms then you ask what we think
I think your a liberal Obama supporter
The answer is simple and not complicated. You will not be moving to the UK.
Unless you can claim citizenship of the UK or another EU member state you will require a visa & work visas are only available to the highly skilled and qualified
The Shortage Occupation List will give you an idea of what areas they give work visas in & the type of skills required

With visas there's also a good character requirement which means you would be required to disclose any criminal convictions & it will at the country's discretion whether or not they would grant a visa - this is a feature of all countries that will require you to apply for a work visa
The US is a huge country, is there nowhere in the US that appeals to you?
If you are not a EU National or UK Citizen no chance with your Conviction the UK will almost certainly not even permit a Tourist Visit let alone moving there. The UK has enough out of work People they will not allow none EU ones to enter. If you hold a advanced degree in a medical or Scientific Field and experience you may get a Job offer but with your Conviction doubtful you would get a Visa
You have… Little chance of moving to the UK unless you have a Masters or a PhD
unskilled worker they don't need
any record and you will be denied
Start making other plans mate. Even without the conviction you're chances were between slim and none.
Start your new life in another state. No nation will allow you in legally with a criminal record and no real job skills.
- Using an IPhone when moving to different countries? If I brought an iPhone say from apple out right for 529 in the UK and then moved to Australia could I use the same iPhone on their service providers? Can then could I move to the US can change service providers again without changing the phone I bought in the UK?
- Moving to new zealand can i take my iphone 4? Can i take the phone i have and switch to a new sim over there? or do i need to get a new one when i arrive?
- Moving pictures back to camera roll? I just got a new iPhone 4s because on my other iPhone, my lock button broke. So i went to apple to get a new one. I backed everything up and my contacts are there and everything except for my music. My pictures are all there too but they're all in an album and not my actual camera roll. How do i put them all back in my camera roll? I already tried adding them back, but what i did didn't work.someone help me please? oh and also, how do i put my music back on my phone?
- Moving music from iphone to new itunes account? I just bought a new laptop because the screen on my previous laptop decided to not work anymore. All of the music i have is on my iphone, but some of the music is not from the itunes store, which means it won't let me sync those songs to my new laptop. Is there any way to sync everything that is on my iphone 4 to my new laptop. That includes itunes and videos that i have.
