My daughter broke her iPhone 5s?

So I just got my daughter a new phone for her birthday in July because she was starting to act better, she dropped it and it didn't crack but it broke. Now she's using my old Galaxy s3 and she isn't getting texts from iphones… What do we do? She isn't going to get her replacement for 2 more weeks because of the iPhone 6 being shipped out.

I have a 5s and I have been taking great care of it… If I broke this just for not taking care of it, I wouldn't even expect an iPhone 6, id be saving up to pay for it myself and acting a more responsible teen instead of waiting for it to be done by my parents… What do you do? Well 2 weeks won't hurt for her to wait for a new phone will it… Yeah it was probably an accident but seriously, she didn't have it long.

I'll probably get thumbs down for this answer for being sarcastic but of well.

I don't think she deserves a new iPhone 5. I think she is too irresponsible to have expensive things.

Oh well

We have quite a predicament, the 5 class of iphones i do have a lot of knowledge over, the 5 is the first basic step, the 5c is the next most basic step, the 5s gives advanced features she can use but that broke.

She has the galaxy S3, its from a reputable company who is known for making great electronics and is a viable option for right now, from what i know of them they don't generally communicate very well with iphones depending on the age of the model involved, the networking… Etc.

I would get the 6 or 6+, I would order her the 6+ as it will compensate for the movements of her hands if she is a photo taker because there's a gyroscope in the back designed to stabilize the photos she takes, the camera shoots clearer than the 6 does with less image noise, and basically functions like a DSLR, the 6 does it with noise involved due to having digital image stabilization over optical. There's a lot on board that can help her out and is invaluable to have, she gets apple pay this month and can pay with the phone.

she's going to need the phone done by you her parents, the 6 is pricy contract or not. On no contract at all these phones are $649 and $749, $200 and $300 with two year contract which knocks the cost down on them significantly if you choose this route.

She needs to be taught these key skills before the iphone 6 arrives in your area, but these are more durable and don't break. The cases can bend, the phones can't bend or crack according to consumerreports.com
