My ethernet works but wireless it can't load the pages, what can I do?

I left my computer on for 10 minutes while I was out and when I got back pages would just load forever until the request timed out.
I'm using a Technicolor TG784n v3. I reset the router by holding the reset button for around 30 seconds and it totally reset it - the network's name and passwords were all gone (which is fine, I knew it was going to happen).
I connected to the Internet using WPS and, since I found out the problem was the same, I tried using an Ethernet cable and it worked. I could access websites and the control panel.
I went into the control panel and switched the name and password.
I don't know what to do now since I can't be next to it all the time.

This is not a problem with my computer. The same thing happens with my iPhone and two other laptops I have at home.

Do you guys know what I could do?

Added (1). I removed the Ethernet cable before checking if wireless worked.

Added (2). This had happened before after a power failure but it was fixed after a reset.

I would call your internet provider (e.g. Shaw, telus…) Then ask if everything is ok and you did not exceed any limits or they may temporarily have some server problems but i agree it dosent sound like you computer is the problem. Any future updates/more problems feel free to msg me

First, the reset button does NOT fix problems. It is used to gain access to a router that you have lost the password for or otherwise made it impossible to use. The most likely cause of wireless slowing down is that someone nearby has set up a touter using the same default channel yours is on. Have you re-entered your ISP user name and password? If not it can cause serious problems. Are you using wireless encryption? If not someone else could be connecting a preventing your machines form connecting. The other common problem is that your machine or another on the network has been seriously infected with spyware and is sending bso many packets it is blocking the wireless.

Reset modem and roter.Unplug both devices.Plug-in modem first, wait 1 minute. Then plug-in router, wait 30 sec. Try if you got internet back.

  • My wireless network works for my iPhone, but not for me laptop? My laptop says that it is connected to the Wi-Fi network (with full connectivity), but then when I try to open a webpage, it won't load. My internet works on my iPhone, so I know this isn't a problem with the router. I've already tried restarting the router, but this hasn't worked.

Also iv notice that the signal bars keep going low and they don't do that! Any help would be grateful
  • Iphone 4S is connected to Wi-Fi but won't load pages? It only started today, i woke up and i had a bunch of problems. My power button is completely jammed and now this. Worst thing is, i have no warranty because it was a present and the gifters didn't give me any proof of purchase or anything >.< It says its connected. I tried resetting the network settings like the apple support suggested but nothing changed. I can't load a single page on safari or google chrome, but i can if i'm just using my 3G. Any suggestions?
