My Fire extinguisher doesn't work?

My toaster caught on fire because I put vegetable oil on my bread and I tought it was olive oil I tried to put it out with an Extinguisher but it doesn't work and I can't call the fire department because my phone was in the kitchen and same with my iPhone, any help here, thes getting pretty dangerous right now

Break camp and run

Go to the fuse box and shut everything in the house OFF. Then you know there's no power there so now put your hand through the flames and remove the toaster cord and the toaster. Then use water. Until the fire is out.
Fire extinguishers are checked and replaced every couple of years as they lose pressure. That is normal.

Sorry to hear your house burned down and you died while you were typing on your computer.

Pull the pin and throw the extinguisher at the fire.

Mr "I said so" has a bad attitude toward your question. Nevertheless, I have to somewhat agree with the sentiment. Obviously you've posted this question over 12 hours ago, so by now either the fire has burned out or the dwelling has burned down.

Mr "Never wrong" gave you the best advice. Turn the power off and remove the toaster to the sink and douse with water. But by now you've probably done something, even if it's to run next door and call the FD.
