My front camera on iPhone 4s won't work?

I have the latest update which is like iOS 8.3 or something like that and everytime I turn the camera on it's just a black screen. But I switch it around to the other camera and the rear works just fine and it's a pain in the but when I'm tryig to take selfies. Every time I try to switch it to the front camera it's either blurry, black or it freezes. And I've tried everything I can think of. I restarted my phone, I literally reset my settings, i cleared all my apps including the camera app, I've looked at everything in my settings, I've tried rotating the camera back and forth but it just won't budge. I can't drive yet so I can't take it to the apple or verizon store and my parents won't take me. If anyone can help me out and help fix the problem I'll gladly give 5 stars!

Try completely resetting your phone, if this doesn't work, try a phone DFU mode.DFU mode is a state that you can put your iPhone into where it can interface with iTunes but does not load the iPhone operating system or boot loader (this is what really differs DFU mode from recovery mode). DFU stands for Device Firmware Update. This will force you to plug your phone into iTunes and hard reset everything on your phone.

BACK UP YOUR PHONE BEFORE DOING ANYTHING THOUGH

to do this:

Step One
Open iTunes and connect the iPhone to your Mac.

Step Two
Press and hold the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time.

Step Three
After exactly 10 seconds release the Sleep/Wake button. Continue holding the home button until you iTunes pops up a message telling you that it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode.

NOTE***: It may take a few attempts to get your iPhone into DFU mode. Generally, I hold down both buttons then release the Home button just before I think the Apple logo would appear. If you are still holding both buttons down and you see the Apple logo you are holding them down for too long!

Hope this helps!
