My grandma forgot her iPhone password and we're trying to get here data off?
Is there any hope that we might be able to get her data off her phone. Just though of removing the SIM card would that work?
Not at all.
The phone has to be reset to factory specs, which will wipe it clean.
Only a Recovery, or (police type) forensics lab might be able to recover the data. Very Expensive if it can be done.

It is not possible. Your only hope is if she had icloud back ups or iTunes backups on a computer. You will be able to erase the phone to get it back to a usable stae by using recovery mode, but you won't have any of the data with out those back ups. BTW, removing the sim card wouldn't do a thing except give you no service on the phone.

- My mam took out her iphone 4 under contract with t-mobile and her screen was smashed? She does not have insurance and the phone is under a year old, she took the contact out in january 2012. does anyone know if the apple store will fix the screen? - I'm trying to ease all contents and setting from my iPhone 7 and it's asking for a password but I don't have a password Ok so I recently got an iPhone 7 and when I opened it up it was a clean slate nothing on it. However when I tried to restore my old phone's data I restored the wrong phone. I tried to go into setting and ease all contents but it asked for a password that I didn't put into my phone and didn't create. I have no clue what to do.
