My home button broke on my iPhone 5?

I ordered my new iPhone 5 on November 2 and it came in on the 7th… A couple of days after my home button broke stopped working… I didn't get it wet are anything just one day it stopped. Now being I just spent alot of money to buy one I'm not able to buy another one but can't do nothing with my phone bc of home button. Will the apple store charge me to replace it or no?

Go to a phone shop they can fix it for around £20-30

I'm pretty sure that if you registered it or something or even call Apple, they can check to see how long your free warranty is. I called them after the home button for my ipod touch 4g stopped working but unfortunately my warranty expired. So basically I just turn it on my the power button and went to the settings to turn on assistive touch or something like that and it provides a home button on the screen for you.

IIm afraid my home button will completely stop working soon enough, and i don't currently have money to replace it. I really only need the home function, but it would be really nice if it also had a screenshot function (because screenshots need the home + lock combo) Edit: If it makes any difference, my phone is an iPhone 3GS (old, lol) and has iOS 6.1.6.
