My iphone 3G won't charge or connect to itunes?
More detail would be nice but it sounds as if the motherboard on your device has shorted. I would recommend purchasing a new device as there's probably not a warranty anymore on that phone.
Maybe the charger/usb is messed up or maybe you just need to turn it off then back on.
Put it in recovery mode, that should fix it!

The phone does show up on my computer like I said, and I can manage, sync and restore. I tried a restoration on the phone and it's still doing the same thing.
