My Iphone 3gs battery is getting hot and draining too fast.any ideas?
We have two iphones. Both are 3gs. My phone is going through the battery much faster than my husband's phone. It also gets hot (especially when it was in the otter box, but i've since taken it out). Anyone experience this or know how to fix it?
Mine did that. I think they're just not made right
Funny enough I ran into this question and I think I may have a solution. I tested out my sister's 3GS at my store and found that after a battery replacement, it worked like new. I've also notice that a few of my customer's who had this problem had water damaged and resulted in that problem.
Check the bottom water mark sensor in the charging port, if its RED, it's water damaged and would likely need a charging port and battery replacement. If it is still WHITE and under Apple's warranty, you may want to bring it in and have them check it out.
