My iphone 3gs isn't getting signal? - 1
I rebuilt it and its taking a long time to charge (not worried about that) but it won't get signal. Please avoid answers like check the cables. I'm looking for something a little more specific
For cellular:
If by signal you mean cellular your best bet is to make sure the bottom unit (cables 4 and 7) are properly place which is the cellular signal. Also if that does not work try replacing the unit with another one.
For Wi-Fi:
This one is harder since this will require removing of a lot of components.
The Wi-Fi antenna usually is not attached properly (located under sim trigger or underneath the headphone jack ribbon cables) you probably did not put the Wi-Fi ribbon correct so make sure to check placement.
If you changed cases make sure the case you swapped with is OEM since some cases tend to block Wi-Fi signal.
- Why isn't the Wi-Fi on my iPhone 4 working, even though the signal is strong? It worked this morning. It worked when I went out for lunch (Starbucks has free Wi-Fi, duh.). And it worked when I went shopping (at Target. However, when I came back home around late afternoon it stopped working. I have Wi-Fi in my house, and even when the signal is strong, it just keep loading it. No usual checkmark that shows it works. The Wi-Fi works fine on my brother's 3DS and we already checked the home computer router. I just don't know what's wrong.
- Why isn't my Wi-Fi signal as strong on my iPhone? A few weeks ago I had great Wi-Fi connection, for years. But now I can't catch Wi-Fi from anywhere in my house unless I'm in the room where the router is… I got a new router but as soon as I leave the room (where the router is) my Wi-Fi signal drops! It's not only happening at my home but also at my gram gram's house and my sisters house. It's really frustrating. So I know it's not my router it's my iPhone.
- Why isn't my iPhone getting service? I was putting my phone in and out of air plane mode a little bit to save battery because I was in an area that had a very poor signal. Now I have turned airplane mode off and no matter where I'm I have "No Service" on the service bar. I can get Wi-Fi but not cell service or 3G (I have Verizon)
- Why does my iphone 3gs for tmobile keep losing signal? I have a 3gs unlocked and jailbroken iphone and it keeps loosing signal randomly, i can't send or receive calls or messages and it will randomly go off. Is it possible i need to jailbreak it again? And at times i turn on airplane mode then off and i'll recover signal for a couple of moments and i've tried turning it on and off as well as taking out the sim card, problem has been on going for 3 days -thanks
