My iPhone 3GS lock button has sunk in?
If I get a new back housing for my iPhone will this fix the problem? The button still works. Also if I do need back housing do you know any tutorials showing you how to change it?
A similar thing happened to me and mines not working! If you ARE having the same problem as me, i gently/hardly tapped my phone on the table and it sorted it out for a few weeks! It's obviously not the best thing to do to your IPhone so you might want to take it into the apple store.
If it's still covered by Apple Insurance, you can send it back and they should send you a new phone, they did for me. My button wasn't even completely broken, I'd have to press it about 3 times for the home button to work. They just sent me a box and I sent them my iPod, in a couple days I got a brand new one. I would suggest doing this because even if a new back housing fixes it for a while, it would be nice to have it completely working, right? Anyways, I just called Apple. Even if you didn't buy a warranty, they have it for one year on every product. They also pay for the shipping, because the box they send you already has a stamp on it. So you could try the new backing, but I would suggest trying to get an all new phone. If they won't send you one, then you could try the new backing.

- My home button and lock button don't work on my iphone 4 Okay so about 2 weeks ago my lock button stopped working and I don't know why so I went to mts store and they said to go to the apple store and i haven't been able to go yet and then tonight I was on my phone then I went to eat dinner so i put it in my sweater pocket then after dinner i took my phone out and it wan't responding! Besides the buttons my iPhone is in perfect condition. My phone carrier is straight talk, from Walmart. They don't offer insurance or a warranty or anything like that.
