My iphone 3Gs randomly shuts off?

So lately i have been having troubles with my iphone 3Gs. I have had it for a little over a year now and i have a bad habit of dropping it. Even a chuck of the plastic on the back has now chipped off. I have a password lock on it so whenever i try to unlock, my phone kind of freezes and it takes awhile for it to register the code i put in. Then once it registers, it just shuts off. This happens every single time… Is there any way to fix this?

I'm so sorry to say this, but I would say it is time to get a new iPhone. Have you had a case on your iPhone before? Try one of the seal brand phone cases, I got a demonstration on those cases and they threw an iPhone against the wall in it and then it hit the floor. The guy took the phone out and there was no damage whatsoever. Try an iPhone 4, 4S, or an iPhone 5. The difference between the 4 and 4S is that the 4S has Siri, your own personal assistant (that is the iPhone I have, and I have had it for about a year now and it has never had any problems)
