My iphone 4 completely shut off and it's not dead?

Yesterday my speaker on my iphone stopped working. I wanted to take a shower and listen to music but it wouldn't work. So I took a shower and put my iphone on a rack close to me. When I got out of the shower my phone turned on but everything was going really slow on it. Then for a moment I could not use the screen. Then it just totally shut down and it still has 79%. I didn't think it had any water in it but just in case I put it in rice for about 16 hours and I checked it this morning and it still won't turn on. I put it in front of a fan, blow dried it, let it sit out in a warm spot, connected it to the computer. I just don't know what to do! I have so many memories and photos on that phone! Someone please help!

Moisture and electronics don't mix If you took a warm shower there's steam and its about all you need to short out the phone. I suggest you get some rice in a sandwich bag put the phone in with it. It will absorb any moisture Turning on a damp phone could fry it Water is an excellent conductor Doesn't the phone have a memory card? I would take it out You can buy a usb adapter to plug into a computer to get your photo's

If the rice trick don't work the only other option is take it in to be fixed or buy a new one

I phones are not remotely water proof You asked your question in cars and transportation you may want to re-post in consumer electronics maybe someone there can better answer the question

Hope it helps
