My iPhone 4 got wet and the speakers aren't working?

I had my phone out with me in the rain (stupid idea) an now the speakers are super low. This happened yesterday and I put it in rice but it still is really low!

It could take days to dry out. Even then, if enough water got on the speaker it's likely ruined. After all, speakers are essentially made out of paper.

Did we learn a lesson here?

Keep it in rice all night and put a plastic bag around the rice. Make sure it is sealed to ensure the maximum amount of absorption. If that does not work you may need to ask an Apple Specialist or get a http://www.bheestie.com/.
