My iPhone 4 got wet, any chance of survival?

I had a rugby tournament with my school on Tuesday and my iPhone 4 was in my bag. It started pouring down with rain when I was playing. It was probably about 15 minutes before I could rescue it. It was in my bag which was zipped up and the screen was damp, I wiped the screen and thought nothing more. But when I started going onto screens with white in it the wet part would be brighter than the rest. I didn't turn it off because I didn't think It was that wet, it must have been 5-6 hours before I turned it off and put it in some rice. It's been in there since Tuesday (Wednesday night I'm asking this) do you think it has any chance of working properly again? If it doesn't I have to buy myself a new Phone and I can't afford one.

It might dry itself out and work again, although there's no guarantee. I have had a few phones that got wet and left them to dry near a radiator for a few days. Sometimes they worked (or partially worked) so it's worth a shot.

Same condition, but mine working fine.
